GENERAL INFO – Since 2010, the NTT IndyCar Series has paid a spring visit to the Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. This course and it’s 880 grounds set the standard for permanent road course racing facilities with it’s immaculate, beautifully landscaped grounds, just 14 miles east of Birmingham.
Inside the Barber track grounds is the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. Tabbed by Guinness as the World’s Largest Motorcycle Museum. It is a must see for any motorsports enthusiast. A separate admission fee (other than race ticket) is required, but dig deep and don’t miss it! A three day ticket is available along with individual day tickets. The Barber track contains 17 turns on the 2.38 mile course, with many elevation changes. Take time to wander around the grounds. You’ll be treated to twists and turns and many different, unique views of the racing course. Free spectator trams stop at 7 locations, well marked with signage. Travel lightly, but utilize this transportation to store your energy. Trams run continuously when the gates open until one hour after completion of the day’s events.
Bring sunscreen, wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Lots of walking with elevation changes. Much of the walking will be on grass with an occasional divet. Pine trees are prevalent, including the track grounds. If you suffer from pine pollen issues, pack the meds. It’s usually warm for this event, but it has seen rain, then mud, so come prepared. Kids under 15 are FREE, so bring the whole family!
The NTT INDYCAR SERIES shares the track time with 5 other racing series. You’ll catch the Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires, Indy Pro 2000, USF 2000, USF Juniors and the Radical Cup of North America. Lots of racing for one admission ticket! Friday, April 29, is Free Garage Friday compliments to Kamtek.
All concessions will be cashless. Fans will be able to purchase using debit or credit cards or prepaid Visa gift cards.

TRACK CONFIGURATION – Permanent road course, 2.38 miles in length with 17 turns and 80 feet of elevation changes.
PREFERRED AIRPORT – Birmingham-Shuttleworth International (BHM). About 14 miles west of the track.
PARKING – All parking will be on-site, but limited. You must have a parking pass to enter, complimentary when you purchase tickets. With limited parking, arrive early. You might want to pack a ground tarp and a lawn chair to stake your viewing area on race day. Travel as light as possible. ADA parking and accessible viewing is next to Turn 4 and use Lot D adjacent to Lot E. Refer to website and site map for details. If you do not have a parking pass, fans will be required to arrive to the venue via ride share. There will not be any off-site parking or shuttles to transport fans to the venue.
CREDENTIALS – Credentials and ‘will-call’ are located at the Hampton Inn on Rex Lake Road, adjacent to the track entrance. Unless tickets are pre-paid and being held at ‘will-call’, no tickets or admission is sold at the hotel. Flip flops, sandals, tank tops and short-shorts should be avoided for pit/paddock entry.
ENTRY POINT – There is only one way in and out of the venue. Track is in rural area and roads are 2 lane. Rideshare is allowed in without parking pass by showing the rideshare app. Rideshare drop off is by Lot F. Follow the signage.

PROHIBITED ITEMS. No glass of any kind allowed in. Coolers are subject to search at entry. No pets or animals. Firearms, fireworks, scooters, skateboards or rollerblades are not allowed. Call ticket number for clarification on service animals.
CAMPING – Camping spots sell our quickly. Weekend rates are available for RV’s and tent camping. Call the ticket number to purchase or further information and availability.
