What does it mean to be an INDYCAR Nation Premier Member?

INDYCAR Nation Premier Members have purchased a Rookie, Champion or Legend fan membership..

  • Weekly e-newsletters and insider info on races, drivers and teams
  • Merchandise discount for Official INDYCAR Merchandise
  • At Track Experiences including guided tours, group gatherings, autograph session pass, etc. *

Membership Questions

I am considering purchasing an INDYCAR Nation membership, what are important deadlines that I need to be aware of?

  • If you purchase a membership, you will become eligible to sign-up for weekend experiences for each INDYCAR race. The experiences are only open to sign-up for a limited time within two weeks prior to the specific race weekend.
  • If you purchase your membership the week of a race, you will not be eligible to sign-up to win experiences for that particular race.
    • Example: If you buy a membership for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on Wednesday of race week, you will not be eligible to sign-up and/or win experiences offered for that race weekend.

When I join INDYCAR Nation as a Premier member, how long does my membership last?

  • As we reopened membership purchases in late-2023, your membership will last until December 31, 2024.

How much is the INDYCAR Nation Premier membership?

  • The annual membership fee for a Rookie member is $39
  • The annual membership fee for a Champion member is $49
  • The annual membership fee for a Legend member is $139 

How do I sign up to win experiences?

  • During the season, experiences are added to the website at least TWO weeks prior to a race weekend. When they are added, you will be notified in the weekly email that is sent on Tuesdays.
  • Sign-Ups for experiences open TWO weeks before the race weekend and will be open for a limited time. This information is also included in the weekly email that is sent on Tuesdays. 

I am considered a LIFETIME member through past fan clubs or INDY Downforce offers. What is my membership status now?

  • As a LIFETIME member, you are automatically an INDYCAR Nation Champion member and will never need to renew your membership, unless you have not logged into your account since January 2015.
  • If you have not logged on, your account will be deactivated.

Can my son or daughter join INDYCAR Nation if he/she is under the age of 18?

  • Absolutely!  Children 7-12 may enroll at the Rookie Membership Level. Children ages 13-17 may enroll at the Champion Membership Level. Please note that some at track experiences may be for participants 18 years or older and minors under the age of 18 will not be eligible to win.

I live outside of the United States. Can I join INDYCAR Nation as a Premier member?

  • INDYCAR Nation Premier Membership is open to anyone inside or outside of the U.S. Additional shipping charges will be applied for members outside the U.S. 

I received my electronic membership card. What do I need this for?

  • From time to time, you will need to show your Premier electronic card for special access at the race track or other partner venues. We'll make sure you know when you need you card, but plan to have the digital copy with you at all race events.
  • You do not have a membership number on this card. This is not needed for tracking purposes.

Registration/Sign-In Questions

  • Your USERNAME is the e-mail address you have registered with your account
  • If you know your e-mail address and have forgotten you password, access the Reset Password page on the INDYCAR Nation website to reset your password. A temporary password will be sent to your email address. We recommend changing your password once you have logged in with your temporary password.
  • To find out your membership renewal date, log into your INDYCAR Nation account and click "My Account".
  • If you continue having problems, please send an e-mail to indycarnation@indycar.com explaining the problem you are having.

Member Events & Offers

What types of member events will be planned and how do I participate?

  • INDYCAR Nation will plan special events at select races, such as: pre-race gatherings, Q & A's, autograph sessions, family events, etc.
  • Events will either be open to all INDYCAR Nation Premier members or available on first come, first serve basis. At times when space has not been filled by Premier members, events may be opened up to all INDYCAR Nation members.
  • For events with limited space, sometimes they will be made available on the INDYCAR Nation online reservation system.
  • All offers will be sent via e-mail and announced on the website.
  • Some restrictions may apply.

What types of at-track experiences will be offered and how do I participate?

  • INDYCAR Nation Rookie members will get opportunities to meet with INDYCAR drivers both in-person and virtually, join an exclusive line to “Fist Bump” the field in driver intros and more.*
  • INDYCAR Nation Champion members will get opportunities for guided tours of the INDYCAR Paddock, Race Control, event car rides, etc., Victory Circle Photos and more. *
  • INDYCAR Nation Legend members will get opportunities for guided tours of the INDYCAR Paddock, Race Control, etc., Victory Circle Photos, event car rides, 2-seater rides and more. *
  • For events with limited space, an offer will be made available on the INDYCAR Nation online reservation system. You'll reserve your spot and if space is available you will receive an email confirmation.
  • All offers will be sent via e-mail and announced on the website. Some restrictions may apply.

What types of credentials and ticket offers will be offered for the races and how do I participate?

  • INDYCAR will always work to garner special ticket offers and pit & garage credential offers from the track promoter, either as flat discounts or limited-time offers that are first come, first served via the INDYCAR Nation online reservation system.
  • Any special ticket promotions or seat locations are up to the discretion of the track promoter.
  • All offers will be sent via e-mail and announced on the website.

Is there an INDYCAR Nation ticket block at the races?

Will there be opportunities to volunteer at races or special events?

  • From time to time, we may need the help of our Premier members. We'll send out e-mails with information if those opportunities arise.

Billing Questions

Do I get a receipt?

  • Yes. If you sign up online you will receive an e-mail confirmation that you can print.

Will I get charged twice if I purchase the NBC Sports Gold package?

  • No, there will only be one charge to your credit card. It will show up as Indianapolis Motor Speedway on your billing statement.

Are there refunds?

  • All sales and membership subscriptions are final.

What happens when my membership expires?

  • Membership will be discontinued automatically at the end of the subscription term.
  • No automatic payments will be made against your account for renewal.

Who do I contact with billing questions and issues?

  • Send an email to indycarnation@indycar.com with your username, payment amount, transaction date, and the last 4 digits of the credit card. Payment corrections take 5-15 days to process back to your account.

What type of cards will be accepted?

  • Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for online payments.

How will this appear on my credit card statement?

  • Your membership payment will appear as a charge from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Is this a secure website?

  • All payment information submitted on the indycarnation.indycar.com website is secured using SSL encryption for your protection. This security is noted by a lock icon on your web browser
