Round #3 of the 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season

GENERAL INFO – The Circuit at Long Beach is a temporary street course on the streets of downtown Long Beach, CA. Parking is a premium at this event, so see the information under Parking below. The event has been on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule since 2009. This is the largest and best attended temporary street course in the series. 

The temperature can be hot, with spotty areas of shade or seating, unless you invest in a grandstand seat though there isn’t any shade in grandstands. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. Expect to walk a long distance just to get to the venue from the parking locations.

The NTT INDYCAR SERIES will share the weekend schedule and track with 5 other racing series! No shortage of track action. The IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship Series, Super Drift Challenge, Robbie Gordon’s Speed/TV Stadium Super Trucks and Porsche Carrera Cup of North America will run on track. Historic IMSA GTP Challenge with retired drivers, and of course, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES as the pinnacle of the weekend. 

Once inside, check out the Lifestyle Expo and Family Fun Zone. There are many displays and things to explore and do. There is also a Food Truck Experience and on Sunday, enjoy the Mothers Exotic Car Paddock with displays of classic machines. There is also a large concert on Saturday night, free to race ticketholders. Visit the track’s website for further information.

TRACK CONFIGURATION -  Temporary street course on downtown Long Beach, CA. The NTT INDYCAR SERIES will run 85 laps on the 1.968 mile, 11 turn course. The track encircles the Long Beach Convention Center. 

PREFERRED AIRPORTS – Los Angeles International (LAX); John Wayne Airport (SNA) located in Santa Ana, CA; Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) located in Burbank, CA. 

PARKING – Parking in Long Beach downtown can be a challenge. Expect to pay wherever you find a spot. Locals are working downtown on Friday, so the availability of spaces may be challenging. It is highly recommended to get a reserved spot, while there is limited inventory from the track. Call 1-827-827-7333 or 1-562-981-2600 for info, pricing and availability. For ADA accommodations, call the ticket number. CREDENTIALS – All credentials can be picked up at the Hilton Long Beach, 701 W. Ocean BL, a few blocks from the track. Once in the lobby, proceed to the 2nd floor, Catalina Room – follow the signage. No grandstand or general admission tickets are sold at the credential location.

ENTRY POINTS – Remember the track is downtown. Entry locations are well marked with signage. We suggest reviewing the website track map before you arrive. 

TICKET INFO – 1-888-827-7333 or purchase online at gplb.com. All spectators must have a grandstand or general admission for entry. If you want to sit in a grandstand, purchase a ticket for that grandstand. Paddock passes are for sale, weekend or daily. Unreserved stands are available for Friday and Saturday only, first come, first served. All Sunday stands are reserved. Will call is at 300 E Ocean BL. ADA seating accommodations must be made thru the ticket office prior to the event. 

COVID POLICY: 

On April 1, the State of California will lift the vaccination requirement for indoor “mega-events” such as the Long Beach Convention Center at the Acura Grand Prix. This, combined with lifting of the mask protocols, means there are no longer any COVID mandates for this year’s Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

PROHIBITED ITEMS – No smoking or vaping is allowed in any grandstand. Coolers are limited to 14”x14”x14” with no alcohol and no glass containers. No folding stadium seats, bicycles, skateboards, skates, rollerblades, ladders, stepstools, lawn furniture, hoverboards, drones, large umbrellas, fireworks or large banners. Leave firearms, weapons, knives, mace, stun guns or zappers at home. Documented service animals only, leashed at all times, arrive to be prepared for the pet’s waste disposal.

CAMPING – Seriously? This is downtown of a major city. Get a hotel!
