Round #13 of the 2021 NTT INDYCAR SERIES Season

GENERAL INFO – This track was formerly known as Gateway Motorsports Park. It is about 5 minutes east from downtown St. Louis. The facility is physically located in Madison, Illinois, just across the Mississippi River from St. Louis. INDYCAR returned to this 1.25 mile oval in 2017, making it the newest oval on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule. This event will be the final oval race on the 2021 schedule. The race will begin at 7 PM, (Central time zone) and will finish under the lights. Always an exciting transition.

Clear bags only allowed in the gate, not to exceed 14”x14”x14”. There is no smoking in the grandstands. There are designated smoking areas available on the concourse, well-marked. No strollers are allowed in the grandstand, must be left below the stands. Coolers are allowed, soft-sides only, not to exceed 14”x14”x14”. No glass containers or alcohol allowed. Everyone and everything thru the gate is subject to security screening.

Temperature swings can be an issue, so come prepared for hot, chilly and maybe wet. Seating will be hard bleacher type, so bring a cushion if you desire. There is a pedestrian tunnel near the 4th turn. Pretty good walk from many of the grandstand areas. Infield has no seating or shaded areas.

PREFERRED AIRPORT – Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL)

PARKING – The track sells parking close behind the grandstand areas, including ADA spots. With ADA parking, make sure to bring your government issued placard or vehicle with ADA plate. Purchase ADA and regular parking in advance to assure you will have a close spot. Call the ticket office at 1-618-215-8888.

CREDENTIALS – Credentials are located outside of the track, off highway 203 North. Turn off the road just east of the Pilot gas station. Restaurant/bar called “LugNuts”, follow signs to INDYCAR credentials.

ENTRY POINTS – Major entrance is located off Interstate 55 at Highway 203 North, which is well marked. Arrive early to avoid major waits. Will call for tickets and parking is located at this entrance.

TICKET INFO – Tickets are available online or by calling 1-618-215-8888. Highly recommended to purchase as early as possible. All tickets are nonrefundable. A limited amount of ADA seating is available. Checkout the website at www.wwtraceway.com to research and purchase tickets. If you leave the track prior to race ending, get your hand stamped and have your ticket for proof of re-entry. Will call is located at the track entrance off Highway 302 North.

PROHIBITED ITEMS – No alcohol, no firearms, fireworks, bicycles, scooters or skateboards. No smoking in the grandstands, find designated smoking areas. Leave at home glass containers, umbrellas, folding chairs, laser pointers. Service animals are allowed, pets are not. Bring documentation for animal. No aerosol cans, balloons, beach balls, sticks, bats, poles, clubs or drones.

CAMPING – Some camping is available at the track. Call the number 1-618-215-8888 for prices, details and availability.

HINTS – The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a huge track with nearly 1000 acres. Go to IMS.com and familiarize yourself with the track and facility layout prior to arrival. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, so travel light and wear comfortable shoes. It will be hot and humid, so dress accordingly, include rain gear in your gear.

COVID INFORMATION AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Make a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card and bring it with you. Masks or face coverings are not required for all who have been fully vaccinated. If you have not taken precautions of getting vaccinated, MASK UP!

Keep in mind that neither INDYCAR nor the track promoters have control over the Center for Disease Control or state and local regulations. Regulations are changing daily in many areas as the virus is still active. Safety to all fans and competitors is first and foremost. Read signs and follow instructions!

Although forgettable for many, 2020 will be remembered for no fans in attendance for spectator sports worldwide. INDYCAR sets the standard as the premier entertainment series in auto racing and we are racing full-time, full-schedule with fans in the stands!
