Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix

THE CHEVROLET DETROIT GRAND PRIX
Presented by Lear
(Doubleheader Weekend)

The Racetrack at Belle Isle Park

June 11-13, 2021

Rounds #7 & #8 of the 2021 NTT INDYCAR SERIES Season

GENERAL INFO – Pioneer of the two-race, one-track format on the same weekend, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES roars back to downtown Detroit, Belle Isle to be precise. Belle Isle, a 962-acre island on the Detroit River is owned by the City managed by the Dept. of Natural Resources. Personal vehicles are prohibited on the Isle. Adequate downtown parking garages and lots are reasonably close to the venue. Tall, temporary stairways cross over the track provide pedestrian access to the infield grandstands and display areas. Stairs are steep, travel as light a possible, expect to do a lot of walking, so comfortable walking shoes are a must! Hats, sunscreen, and rain gear are also advised. Be prepared for anything, because weather-wise, everything has happened in Detroit.

A variety of racing will occur over the weekend sharing the track, with the premier races being the two NTT INDYCAR SERIES events. Also on track will be the Indy Lights (returning for the first time since 2012), and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Series.

Canada is just across the Detroit River. Do your research before attempting to enter to verify Canadian protocols for visitors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID INFORMATION AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Make a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card and bring it with you. Masks or face coverings are not required for all who have been fully vaccinated. If you have not taken precautions of getting vaccinated, MASK UP!

Keep in mind that neither INDYCAR nor the track promoters have control over the Center for Disease Control or state and local regulations. Regulations are changing daily in many areas as the virus is still active. Safety to all fans and competitors is first and foremost. Read signs and follow instructions!

Although forgettable for many, 2020 will be remembered for no fans in attendance for spectator sports worldwide. INDYCAR sets the standard as the premier entertainment series in auto racing and we are not going racing full-time, full-schedule with fans in the stands!
