THE HONDA INDY 200 AT MID-OHIO

September 12-13, 2020

Rounds #10 & #11 of the 2020 season - Doubleheader Weekend!

GENERAL INFO – The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is one of the oldest permanent road courses on the IndyCar schedule. The track opened in 1962, built by a contingent of local business owners. Professional open wheel events date back to 1970. Several remodel enhancements have occurred since opening, but the track provides a beautiful background for the IndyCar event.

COVID UPDATE – The track encourages everyone to follow safe practices while at the track. Practice social distancing, maintaining a 6 foot separation from others. Use frequent hand washing and use many of the hand sanitizer stations at the track. Cloth face coverings are required at all times while on the grounds. All guests will be screened in their vehicles with contactless temperature checks before entering the parking areas. A temperature of 100.4+ will disqualify all occupants of the vehicle from entering.

Mid-Ohio encompasses 330 acres. Infield parking consists mostly of hard packed grassy areas. This track is in the country. Don’t count on convenience stores or retail locations to purchase your supplies near the track. Bring everything with you.

Everyone must either have a general admission ticket for entry. The grandstands will be closed for this event. Infield parking is $30 unless you have a state ADA license tag or hanging placard. Food and drink are allowed in, but no glass bottle.. Grilling is allowed in the camping areas only. Track food vendors offer mostly fair/carnival food at typical event prices. Pets are allowed, but discouraged. All pets must remain on a leash and you must clean up after your pet.

Bring a hat, comfortable walking shoes, lawn chairs, sunscreen and rain gear. If it rains, you’ll encounter some areas with mud. Bring allergy meds if you need them. Expect hot and humid temperatures, as it is August in the Midwest. Some shade trees offer viewing areas out of the sun. Very few permanent restroom facilities, mostly temporary restrooms.

There will not be any complimentary fan shuttles active this weekend.

SPECIFIC LOCATION – 7721 Steam Corners Road (also known as Country Rd 37), Lexington, Ohio 44904, off Interstate 71. About an hour drive north Columbus, OH and about an hour and 20 minute drive south of Cleveland, OH. Rural area, slow entering, even slower exiting. Pack your patience. Eastern time zone.
