GENERAL INFO – NTT IndyCar ventures north to Canada only once in 2019 season and sets up business in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The event is a temporary road course that wraps around a huge convention center, known as Exhibition Place. This is the 33rd time that INDYCAR has raced in this configuration. The weekend will feature many attractions, including food and beverage vendors, interactive displays, festive activities, charity events, in addition to the world class racing that INDYCAR is known for.

It is highly recommended to bring Canadian dollars with you to maximize your exchange rates. Check XECurrency.com for current exchange rates. Exchange money before entering Canada. Make sure you have your passport or two government issued IDs with you for your entry into Canada and re-entry into the US. Toronto is a metropolitan city with many unique neighborhoods and cultures. On Friday, July 13, “Fan Friday” a voluntary contribution to Make-A-Wish Canada charity is requested for free general admission. No grandstand seats are reserved this date, first come, first served. in excess of $690,000 has been raised from this fundraiser the past 9 years with assistance from the Ontario Honda Dealers!!

This racing weekend focuses on kids. Kids 12 and under get a free general admission when accompanied by a ticket adult! The track also offers a “Rookie Racers Club” designed to help young racing fans get the best experience at the track! For example, the RRC members will get to high-five all driver starters at pre-race! Lots of free swag involved. Check out hondaindytoronto.com for specifics.

The easiest way to get to the venue is by GO Transit. GO Transit Combo Tickets are available for $45 for Saturday or Sunday. Also available for $70 in a 2-Day option which includes a round trip GO Transit fare and an event General Admission. Kids 12 and under ride free when accompanied by a paying adult. The GO Train Exhibition Station is conveniently located just north of Turn 8 near the Gate 2 entrance of the Honda Indy Toronto. Another option for spectators is to use Toronto’s GO Lakeshore West Train to Exhibition Station for the easiest commute without the worry of traffic and parking at the venue. Parking is very limited at the venue.

Bring your camera, binoculars, scanners, purse, sunscreen, hat, backpack, mobility aids, seat cushion, stroller, umbrella, but you cannot obstruct the view of others. Hint: Bring in an empty water bottle, as many drinking fountains are accessible for a free fill-up! No coolers, food or beverages allowed in. See Prohibited Items section. Service animals are allowed, but must remain leashed at all times. Bring your own pet waste disposal bags.

The NTT IndyCar Series will share the track with the Indy Lights, Indy Pro 2000, USF 2000, Porsche 911-613 Cup, Pinty Series and Stadium Trucks. Lots of track action all weekend.

TRACK CONFIGURATION – 1.755 mile temporary road course with 11 turns. Race consists of 85 laps. Track is constructed throughout and around Exhibition Place convention center and grounds and utilizes Lake Shore BL as the backstretch.

PREFERRED AIRPORT – Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ),

PARKING – Parking is very limited, expect to pay for parking everywhere. Call 1-877-725-8849 for paid parking on the grounds. Parking on the streets is free, but a first come/first served basis, but don’t count on it. ADA parking on the grounds is available, but limited. Call 416-588-7223 ext, 215 to purchase. Must possess a government issued handicapped parking permit. Parking lots and garages are available downtown for a fee. Might want to park at an out lot a few miles away from the track and use a cab or a city bus for less expensive alternatives.

CREDENTIALS – Credentials can be picked up on the east side of the Entercare Center, prior to gate entry. Must have government issued photo ID with you and be at least 18 years old. Must wear closed toed shoes in the pits.

ENTRY POINTS – Entry gates to the venue are well marked. All fans and their gear are subject to a security search.

PROHIBITED ITEMS – No coolers, food or beverages, glass containers, illegal drugs, fires, grills, fireworks or firearms. Leave at home knives, mace, pepper spray, folding chairs, scaffolding, noise makers, beach balls, banners, horns or camera lenses exceeding 10”. No aerosol cans, bottles, rollerblades, skateboards, skates, scooters, bicycles, personal golf carts, motorcycles or scooters. Cannot handout samples or handbills. No laser lights, pointers, poles, sticks, laptops, duffel bags, luggage or grocery bags. Any items confiscated at the entry gates, will not be held for later pickup.

TICKET INFO – Kids 12 and under are free with an adult who possesses an event ticket. All grandstands on Saturday and Sunday are reserved and not for use with general admission. Single day and two day tickets are available with a variety of prices and options. No tickets will be refunded in the event of postponement. Will call is at Gate 1, east side of the grounds. ADA grandstand tickets are on the north side of the track at the start/finish line. Purchase in advance. If you are using a wheelchair but will leave it for a grandstand seat, bring a chain and a lock to secure it. Ticket number at 1-877-725-8849. Highly recommend to purchase before you arrive. Pre-purchased tickets may save you a few dollars over purchasing them when you arrive on site, too.

CAMPING – Nothing is available close to the venue, as you are in the middle of a large city. Camping, of course, is available outside of the city. Do not tow a camper or motorhome to the race venue, as parking will be nearly impossible.
