GENERAL INFO – Welcome to Canada for the only IndyCar event out of the US. The IndyCar event at Toronto is a temporary road course that wraps around a convention center, known as Exhibition Place. This year’s event is the 32nd edition of the IndyCar festival in Toronto. The first race was held in 1986 on the streets surrounding Exhibition Place near Lake Ontario in downtown Toronto. The weekend event features many attractions, including food and beverage vendors, interactive displays, festive activities and charity events, in addition to the world class racing. It is highly recommended to bring Canadian dollars with you as many business owners do not especially like American currency. Check “XE Currency” for current exchange rates. Exchange money before entering Canada. Make sure you have your passport or two government issued IDs with you for entry into Canada and entry back to the US.

On Friday, July 13, “Fan Friday” with general admission free to fans. A voluntary contribution to Make-A-Wish upon entry is requested. A great fundraiser in conjunction with the Ontario Honda Dealers, this program through fan generosity raised $90,000 in 2017!
All weekend, kids 12 and under have free general admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult! If you have a 12 and under attending, checkout hondaindy.com/familyfun for information and registration to the “Honda Indy Toronto Rookie Racers.” A fun and exciting experience for the kids which includes considerable swag. Also, GO Transit offers kids 12 and under free bus and train service to the track when accompanied by an adult with an event ticket and valid GO fare! Bring the kids!!
Bring your camera, binoculars, scanners, purse, sunscreen, hat, backpack, mobility aids, seat cushion, stroller, umbrella, but you cannot obstruct the view of others. Hint: Bring in an empty water bottle, as many drinking fountains are accessible for a free fill-up! No coolers, food or beverages allowed in. See Prohibited Items.
IndyCar will share the track with the Mazda Road to Indy presented by Cooper Tires and the Ultra 92 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama.

TRACK CONFIGURATION – 1.78 mile temporary road course with 11 turns. Race consists of 85 laps. Track is constructed throughout and around Exhibition Place convention center and grounds and utilizes Lake Shore BL as the backstretch.
PREFERRED AIRPORT – Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
PARKING – Parking is very limited. Expect to pay for parking everywhere. Call 1-877-725-8849 for paid parking on the grounds. Parking on the streets is free, but a first come/first served basis, but don’t count on this. ADA parking on the grounds is available, but limited. Call 416-588-7223, ext. 215 to purchase. Must possess a government issued handicapped parking permit. Parking lots and garages are available downtown for a fee. Might want to park at an outlot a few miles away from the track and use a cab or a city bus for less expensive alternatives to arrive at the venue.
CREDENTIALS - Credentials are available on the east side of the Enercare Center, prior to gate entry. Must have government issued photo ID with you and be at least 18 years. Must wear closed toed shoes in the pits.
ENTRY POINTS –Entry gates to the venue are well marked. All fans and their bags are subject to search by security.
PROHIBITED ITEMS – No coolers, food and beverages, glass containers, illegal drugs, fires, grills, fireworks or firearms. Leave at home knives, mace, pepper spray, folding chairs, scaffolding, noise makers, beach balls, banners, horns, or camera lenses exceeding 10”. No aerosol cans, bottles, rollerblades, skateboards, skates, scooters, bicycles, personal golf carts, motorcycles, scooters. Cannot handout handbills, samples. No laser lights, pointers, poles, sticks, laptops, duffel bags, luggage or grocery bags.
TICKET INFO – Kids 12 and under are free with an adult who possesses an event ticket. Single day and two day tickets are available with a variety of prices, and options, a paddock, pit or grandstand seat. Walkup tickets are for purchase at spectator Gate 1 EC @ Strachan and Gate 2 EC @ Manitoba Dr (transit entrance). ADA grandstand tickets are on the north side of the track at the start/finish line are available. Purchase in advance. If you are using a wheelchair but will leave it for a grandstand seat, bring a chain with a lock to secure it. Ticket number if 1-877-725-8849. Will Call is at Gate 3, east side of the grounds.
CAMPING – Nothing available, as you are in the middle of the City of Toronto! Camping is available outside of the city. Do not tow a camper to the race venue, as parking will be impossible.
