GENERAL INFO – This is the 44th year anniversary of a racing event at Long Beach. It all began in 1976 with an F-1 race. The Long Beach course is a temporary road course on the streets of Long Beach, CA. Parking is a premium at this event. It is a downtown area with many businesses and residences. See below for ticket number to purchase track parking. The temps can be very hot, with spotty areas of shade, remember the hat and sunscreen. Expect to walk a lot.
Many vendors are throughout the course including a Food Truck Expo. At the Expo you will find more than a dozen trucks with a variety of menu items, all behind Grandstand 31 on Shoreline Drive that parallels the front straightaway. Inside of the track contains permanent bars and restaurants. Coke products are served within the event. Don’t miss the Mothers Exotic Car Paddock, in Turns 9-11. It will showcase 150+ classic and exotic cars. Admission is free with race ticket. Inside the Convention Center is a family fun zone with many exhibits to keep everyone busy.
The area is bustling with many things to take up your time. Restaurants and bars are everywhere downtown. The Pike Outlets is close to the track. Also very close is the Queen Mary, former cruise and troop transport ship, you can take a tour! Also nearby is the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific and Shoreline Village.

PARKING – Parking in Long Beach can be a challenge, expect to pay wherever you park. There are numerous parking lots downtown, but they fill up quickly. On Friday of race weekend, businesses are open, so locals fill the lots early. The track has some parking areas, but it is recommended to get a reserved spot asap. Call 1-888-827-7333 for details. For ADA parking, call ticket number further information. Also, mass transit offers alternatives to driving. There is a 24 hour bus route from Long Beach Transit, check lbtransit.com for more info, and Metrolink Trains offers a $10 weekend pass. Info at Metrolinktrains.com.
CREDENTIALS – All credentials can be picked up at the Hilton Long Beach, 701 W. Ocean BL, a few blocks from the track. Proceed to the Catalina Room on the second floor – follow signs! A credential or general admission ticket will not gain you access to a grandstand. Paddock passes are for sale, weekend or daily, call ticket number to purchase.
ENTRY POINTS – . Entry points are marked well with signage. Review prohibited items. Five entry locations. 1. Aquarium Way; 2. Promenade/Ocean; 3. Long Beach BL; 4. Shoreline Dr. 5. Alamitos and Marina. Ticket booths are at these locations.
TICKET INFO – 1-888-827-7333. All spectators must have a grandstand ticket to enter a grandstand. A credential or general admission ticket will not give you access to a grandstand. Paddock passes are for sale, weekend or daily. Refer to email@example.com. Some unreserved stands are available for Friday and Saturday. All Sunday stands are reserved. PROHIBITED ITEMS – No smoking or vaping is allowed in any grandstand. Coolers are not to exceed 14”x14”x14”. No alcoholic beverages and no glass bottles allowed in. No folding stadium seats, no bicycles, skateboards, skates, rollerblades, ladders, stepstools, lawn furniture, hoverboards, drones, large umbrellas, fireworks, large banners, firearms, knives, mace or zappers. Max seat cushion is 11”x14” and no pets, except service animals.
