Membership Questions

When I sign up for INDYCAR Nation, how long does my membership last?

  • Your free INDYCAR Nation membership will last indefinitely unless you choose to unsubscribe or opt-out, which you may do at any time.
  • You can upgrade to INDYCAR Nation Champion level at any time.

When I join INDYCAR Nation CHAMPION, how long does my membership last?

  • Your INDYCAR Nation Champion membership will last for one year from the date that you registered and paid.
  • If you used INDY Downforce points to renew prior to Jan. 1, 2011, your Champion membership will apply through that renewal date.

How much is the INDYCAR Nation Champion membership?

  • The new annual membership fee is $34.95.
  • You cannot use old INDY Downforce points to renew your membership.
  • If you used INDY Downforce points to renew prior to Jan. 1, 2011, your Champion membership will apply through that renewal date

I used to be an INDY Downforce member. What has happened to my points?

  • The INDY Downforce fan club format has changed so that we can offer more variety to all types of fans. Many perks, like pre-race parties and special events, will stay the same and even get better!
  • The old INDY Downforce point system and redeemable offers no longer apply.
  • You cannot use old INDY Downforce points to renew your membership.
  • Your old INDY Downforce membership card does not apply for discounts or access.

I used to be considered CREW level. What has happened to this status?

  • We appreciate and thank our loyal fan club members who have been involved for many years. From time to time, there may be events planned for former CREW level members and Lifetime members. The old INDY Downforce point system and special levels within that system no longer apply.

I am considered a LIFETIME member through past fan clubs or INDY Downforce offers. What is my membership status now?

  • As a LIFETIME member, you are automatically an INDYCAR Nation Champion member and will never need to renew your membership.

Can my son or daughter join INDYCAR Nation if he/she is under the age of 13?

  • No, INDYCAR Nation is only open to persons 13 years and older.
  • Our friends at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway offer something for children called the Indianapolis Motor Speedway KIDS CLUB. We'll be planning events together throughout the year.

I live outside of the United States. Can I join INDYCAR Nation?

  • INDYCAR Nation is open to anyone 13 years and older, inside or outside of the U.S.
  • INDYCAR Nation Champion is open to anyone 13 years and older, inside or outside of the U.S. Additional shipping charges will be applied for members outside the U.S.

I joined INDYCAR Nation Champion and have not received my membership kit. What should I do?

  • Email indycarnation@indycar.com with your name, address and when you signed up, stating you've not received your kit.
  • Due to shipments of inventory out of our control, it may take 4-6 weeks for you receive your member kit.

I received my Champion membership card with my membership kit. What do I need this for?

  • From time to time, you will need to show your Champion card for special access at the race track or other partner venues. We’ll make sure you know when you need you card, but have it with you at all race events.
  • You do not have a membership number on this card. This is not needed for tracking purposes.
  • Please sign your card to use as a member confirmation piece when needed.

I lost my Champion membership card. How can I get a new one?

Registration/Sign-In Questions

  • Your USERNAME is the e-mail address you have registered with your account
  • If you are a current INDYCAR Nation member or were an INDY Downforce member, your new temporary password was emailed to you. If you did not receive the e-mail, use the “existing member account lookup” by clicking HERE.
  • If you know your e-mail address and have forgotten you password, click HERE.
  • To find out your membership renewal date, log in and click “My Account”
  • If you continue having problems, please send an e-mail to indycarnation@indycar.com explaining the problem you are having.

Member Events & Offers

What types of member events will be planned and how do I participate?

  • INDYCAR Nation will plan special events at each race, such as: pre-race parties, pre-race track access, driver meet & greets, Q & A's, autograph sessions, family events, etc.
  • Events will either be open to all INDYCAR Nation Champion members or available on first come, first serve basis. At times when space has not been filled by Champion members, events may be opened up to all INDYCAR Nation members.
  • For events with limited space, sometimes they will be made available on the INDYCAR Nation online reservation system. You'll reserve your spot and print off a coupon to bring with you to the event.
  • All offers will be sent via e-mail and announced on the website.
  • Some restrictions may apply.

What types of at-track experiences will be offered and how do I participate?

  • INDYCAR Nation Champion members will get opportunities for pre-race access, private garage tours, parade laps, track walks, pace car rides, 2-seater rides, simulator rides and more.
  • Events will either be open to all INDYCAR Nation Champion members or available on first come, first serve basis. At times when space has not been filled by Champion members, events may be opened up to all INDYCAR Nation members.
  • For events with limited space, sometimes they will be made available on the INDYCAR Nation online reservation system. You'll reserve your spot and print off a coupon to bring with you to the event.

What types of credentials and ticket offers will be offered for the races and how do I participate?

  • INDYCAR will always work to garner special ticket offers and pit & garage credential offers from the track promoter, either as flat discounts or limited-time offers that are first come, first served via the INDYCAR Nation online reservation system.
  • Any special ticket promotions or seat locations are up to the discretion of the track promoter.
  • All offers will be sent via e-mail and announced on the website.

Is there an INDYCAR Nation ticket block at the races?

Will there be opportunities to volunteer at races or special events?

  • From time to time, we may need the help of our Champion members. We'll send out e-mails with information if those opportunities arise.

Will there be opportunities for bus trips and travel packages?

  • Yes. From time to time, ICN will plan special travel packages for memberships.

We receive race weekend recap emails from Trackside Online. Does this mean I have a TSO membership?

  • No. But the recaps provided are similar to the paid content available on the TSO website.  

Billing Questions

Do I get a receipt?

  • Yes. If you sign up online you will receive an e-mail confirmation that you can print.

Are there refunds?

  • All sales and membership subscriptions are final.

What happens when my membership expires?

  • Membership will be discontinued automatically at the end of the subscription term.
  • No automatic payments will be made against your account for renewal.

Who do I contact with billing questions and issues?

  • Send an email to indycarnation@indycar.com with your username, payment amount, transaction date, and the last 4 digits of the credit card. Payment corrections take 5-15 days to process back to your account.

What type of cards will be accepted?

  • Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for online payments.

How will this appear on my credit card statement?

  • Your membership payment will appear as a charge from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Is this a secure website?
