Without a doubt, Iowa. Specific moment, TK's post-race congratulatory gesture to Marco after winning the race in an epic battle between two awesome drivers.

The best part so far will be this weekend. I'm not able to get to many races and this will be the first this year for me.

My favorite was my first time going to a race-the Indy 500, the finish was so exciting, especially live!

My favorite 2011 IndyCar moment so far was without a doubt the Iowa Corn Indy 250!!! Marco Andretti's epic win!!! I love it!! I can't stop smiling about that race.

At this years Indy 500 I signed up for Q andA with Donald Davidson at the Indycar offices. It was a live talk of gasoline alley

Then the race was one for the ages!

My favorite moment was my father taking me to my first ever race at the Long Beach Gran Prix. I immediately favored Patrick as my favorite driver and saw her go from the 20's to 7th place in the end with a great drive. From that day I turned into an extremely obsessive race fan.

My favorite was the Texas Two Step race.Got to see how a good driver, Dario, had to push it to get up to the front.
  13. 13 TJ 04 Jul
Simona and TK battling for 3rd in St. Pete.  While she didn't pass him, she pulled along side coming out of 14 and it made for great racing!

My favourite moment of the 2011 IndyCar season came in the Iowa race watching the battle between Tony Kanaan and Marco Andretti for the win.  The racing was fast and intense, and it left my family on the edge of our seats the whole time!

The pre-race ritual of the Indy500 is always an emotional experience.  When Jim sings I get goosebumps and then the command to start engines makes my lower lip twitter every year.

My Favorite moment was last week at Iowa. The battle between Marco, Dario and TK made for one of the best races I've seen in a long time.

My favorite moment of the season would have to be attending the Indianapolis 500.  My sister was lucky enough to win 2 tickets and asked me to come with her.  I had never been to the 500 before, so getting to go for the 100th anniversary was so special.  The race was very exciting down to the finish.

My favorite was the Firestone Twin 275s in Texas. Two for the price of one! YEE-HAW!!

For me, Indycar has meant a lifetime of memories.  Fourth of July celebrations paled in comparison to the grandeur of Memorial Day weekends past.  My father was a race engineer and dragged his little daughter to every race he could, sharing his passion and love for the sport.  I of course grew up to be an athlete of my own sort, and Indycar had become a distant memory.  This year, I lost my father to cancer, and the last weekend in May, like clockwork, my family gathered to celebrate and honor him like every year since I can remember, by watching the Indianapolis 500.  The 100th running of the 500 was a dream, the honor and dignity alone which JR Hildebrand showed as the gracious second place victor was something my father would have reveled in.  This would have to be my favorite memory of the 2011 season so far, as Indycar has not only made me feel closer to my father, but has now moulded me to be a lifelong fan.

my favorite moment of the 2011 izod indycar series would have to be hands down the 100th anniversary of the indy 500.  just all the drama from jr hildebrand leading and crashing on turn four to the drama of bump day. it was an amazing month all together.  getting to see all the old cars especially the wasp on track again was amazing. indy is the best race there will ever be and the izod indycar series is the best racing league in the world.

My favortie moment of the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series season was when I got to watch the Iowa race on TV. I'm hoping I can see my first IZOD IndyCar Series race with this sweepstakes.

My favorite moment of the season was taking my 4 year old to her first Indycar car race. She got to meet her namesake Danica Patrick who signed her race jersey. Danica told her now no one will ever mispronounce your name again. My little Danica was pleased and all she could say later was how she signed my name to my jersey.

My favorite moment would have to be a tie between the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the race in Iowa. At Indy we were sitting at the entrance to pit road and I was grabbing my husband's arm and screaming that JR was going to win the race and the next thing I heard was a loud noise and I kept looking for JR to fly by and then my husband starts yelling that JR crashed. I would not believe him until I looked at the video screen. What an ending! The race at Iowa was fantastic, not a bad seat in the place. Short track racing at it's best. Watching Marco and TK go at it was racing as it should be. Can't wait to go again next year.

My favorite moment of the 2011 Indycar season was to watch Marco Andretti winning the Iowa race. We finally had an American driver in 1st place, I was there and I will never forget that moment, heart beating very fast, American flag waving from on hands, fireworks and tears!
  27. 27 Jay 01 Jul
My favorite moment was the 100 anniversary running of the indy 500. Also very happy to see JR's performance that day.
  28. 28 Darren 01 Jul
My favorite moment of this years season would have to be watching Paul Tracy qualify at Indy with rain coming down on Bump Day. That was a great run to get it in the show with all the pressure on.

My favorite moment of the season so far would have to be seeing Alex Tagliani carrying a 3 year old spina bifida sufferer around his garage area at Milwaukee. Alex talked to him as he gave him a personal tour. As fate would have it, Alex's car was running at the time so he lifted the little boy into the driver's seat and let him sit there for a while. Afterward, he carried him back to the front, knelt down, and placed the boy on his knee while they continued their private conversation. At one point, the boy turned around and gave him a hug. After a while, Alex gently put him back on the ground with his walker. I had tears in my eyes as this unfolded. We encountered the little boy's father later in the day and learned the visit with Alex was arranged by the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation. Their visit with Alex was one of many with IZOD IndyCar drivers that day. We had the immense good fortune of seeing this visit. The pictures will remind us what is really important in life everytime we see them.

My favorite moment of the 2011 IndyCar season was the last lap of the Indy 500. I knew that there was a surprise waiting for us in the last lap. When Dan Wheldon won, I realize that I was holding my head tow inches away from my TV, and I jumped like two 6 feet from my bed to my TV. It was so exciting, I couldn't believe it until I saw that "Hildebrand" was TT on twitter!

Last lap at Indy....snatching defeat from the hands of victory!  What an ending to that race!
  32. 32 Brad Craig 30 Jun
My favorite Indy moment thus far in 2011 was the thrilling racing at Iowa Speedway between Dario, Tony and Marco.  All three drivers showed amazing skill to race on such a small bull-ring track, at such high speeds (175+), and in such close proximity.  This went on lap after lap! I found myself sitting there watching, with big dorky grin on my face, because if was so much fun to watch.  Thanks for a great show IndyCar and Iowa Speedway!
  33. 33 Eric Dobbs 30 Jun
My favorite moment definitely had to be the story of Simona de Silvestro during the Indy 500. She has a spectacular accident with burns on her hands and she still came back. She's one tough racecar driver and she won't quit until they force her out of that car. Much respect.
  34. 34 Mike Wissler 30 Jun
My favorite moment has to be Saturday before the 500 just after the driver's meeting. My sons and I got pictures with Emmo, Big Al, Sneva, dan Gurney...but the topper was asking one of the Penske crew if I could get a picture of my 10 year Helio fanatic sitting on one of the little Penske pit trucks...he said sure and then reached behind my son....pulled Helio's helmet out of a bag and said here....this should make for a nice photo. The kid is still smiling a month later! You wouldn't get that kind of fan interavtion from NasCab.

My favorite moment of the 2011 IndyCar season was watching the Honda Indy Toronto in person and to see Paul Tracy come through the whole field in the final 20 laps to take the checkered flag. The fans went crazy! Oh yeah, did I say I was a fortune teller and can read the future?

The best part of this season so far is that, during the worst year ever (I've been unemployed since last June when I got down sized at the company I worked at, last hired; first fired), I got the opportunity to work (pro-bono, but for a great charity, Make-A-Wish) for Paul Tracy designing the Make-A-Wish shirt that are for sale at http://www.megraphics.me/PT-Online_Store.html all proceeds are going directly to Make-A-Wish, no one is making any profit from the shirts. It's been a great experience and the shirts have been way more successful than initially anticipated. But I still have yet to purchase tickets for the Toronto race. Winning race tickets to the Toronto Honda Indy would certainly make my experience so much better.

My favorite moment has to be the 100th Anniversary of the Indy 500.  Aside from one of the most exciting races, seeing the Marmon Wasp on track during pre-race ceremonies was a dream come true.  Ever since the 9 year old me saw the car at the IMS Museum in 1987, I wondered how that seemingly ancient wonder would sound and look on track.  Back to the race, I cannot begin to describe the emotional roller coaster JR Hildebrand put me through.  That's what racing is supposed to do.

I was lucky enough to attend the 100 year anniversary of the Indianapolis 500. Having grown up in Indiana it was a very special one with many "'goose bump"' moments. The surprise ending was right in front of where we sitting in turn 4. My favorite moment was having Dan Wheldon autogragh my 100 year t-shirt in his home town near me in St.Petersburg a week later!!!  What a gracious winner!!
  40. 40 Geoff 29 Jun
My favorite moment was when it looked absolutely certain with 2 laps to go that J.R. Hildebrand would win the Indy 500. Then he tagged the wall in one of the final turns handing the Victory to Dan Wheldon who didn't have a full-time ride and was there doing a one-off event. Nothing was more exciting and dramatic than that race thus far. That's a hard one to top!

My favorite moment was being at the race in Iowa and watching Marco Andretti pass Dario and holding off TK for a great win.

My favorite moment of the 2011 IndyCar season was attending the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500.  Took my family to pole day  qualifying and then attended the race with my wife and father-in-law.  We enjoyed every minute of it.  What a spectacular race with Dan Wheldon winning in an unforeseen way.
